I’m battered, I’m bruised, but I’m still hanging on!
How many times have you looked at yourself in the mirror and given yourself a pep talk? How many times have you tried convincing yourself that you're okay? How many times have whispered to yourself, "This too shall pass"?
In this world, we will all face moments that leave us battered and bruised. There will be times when the weight of life feels unbearable, and we'll reach out to someone we trust just to let the pain in our hearts pour out through our words.
Then there are the days when words simply won't come. The pain flows instead as tears down our faces. The frustration is too deep to explain, and all we can do is stand under the shower a little longer, hoping those extra five minutes will somehow wash away the heaviness we've been carrying.
Yet, in the middle of our internal struggle, there is a still, small voice. A ray of hope. A gentle reminder that says, "You're going to be okay." It is the quiet whisper that rises above all the chaos and noise, saying, "Hang on. I'm still here."
If you're reading this today, you may be battered. You may be bruised. But don't let go.
Hang on.
Don't quit. Don't stop fighting. Your breakthrough may be closer than you realize. If you give up now, you may never witness the victory that God has already been preparing for you.
I know this because I've been there. I, too, have been battered. I have been bruised. There have been seasons when I questioned how much more I could endure. Yet, by the grace of God, I kept hanging on.
Even today, there are moments when life leaves its marks. There are still days when I feel battered and bruised. But you're reading these words because I'm still hanging on.
I'm hanging on to the hope that one day, this too shall pass. I'm hanging on to the promise that my Creator will never leave me nor forsake me. I'm hanging on because His strength is made perfect in my weakness, and His faithfulness has never failed me.
So, if all you can do today is hold on, then hold on with everything you have.
