When God Changes the Leaves

As the seasons change, we watch the leaves transform from green to beautiful shades of red, orange, and gold. Eventually, they fall to the ground, leaving the branches bare. Yet even in their shedding, there is beauty and purpose.

Sometimes, God allows seasons of change in our own lives. He may remove things we have grown comfortable with, close doors we hoped would remain open, or lead us into unfamiliar places. These changes can be painful, especially when we do not understand what He is doing.

But just as the trees release their leaves in preparation for a new season, we must learn to trust God enough to let go. Not everything we lose is meant to destroy us. Sometimes, letting go is part of making room for what God is preparing to grow within us.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there is a season for everything and a time for every purpose under heaven.

So, if you find yourself in a season of change, do not be afraid of the falling leaves. What looks like an ending may simply be preparation for a new beginning. Trust the God who created the seasons. He knows when it is time for things to bloom, when it is time to let go, and when it is time to grow again.
